2023 Pumpkin Decorating Contest
We hope you will participate in our second annual pumpkin decorating contest! Download the entry form below.
Families are invited to decorate a pumpkin (or gourd) as a book character or with a literary theme and drop it off at the Wolfforth Library starting October 9, 2023 at 10am. Decorated pumpkins are due by October 18th at 6pm (late submissions will not be accepted). Our guest judges will choose the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place pumpkins. Winners will be announced on October 31, 2023. 1st place will receive a $150 gift card, 2nd place will receive a $100 gift card, and 3rd place will receive a $50 gift card thanks to a donation from Doug Holmes Construction and American Bank of Commerce.
- We strongly encourage the use of fake pumpkins.
- We will not accept pumpkins that have any holes or punctures.
- One pumpkin per family this year to not overwhelm our small library with pumpkins. We also want this to be a wonderful family bonding event!
Pumpkins due by October 18th at 6pm. If you are using a real pumpkin, plan to turn it in closer to the 18th so it lasts! Any real pumpkins that begin rotting before our judging day will be discarded and a picture of it put in their place. All pumpkins must be picked up by November 6th at 3pm or they will be discarded.
