Annual summer reading program for all ages will begin May 30th and continue through July 29th. Readers compete by grade level for entry into raffle drawings for great prizes. Adults can compete too!
SUMMER READING KICK-OFF
Kick off summer reading on Tuesday May 30th 12pm-3pm. There will be snacks available (while supplies last), and you can sign up for the summer reading contest and get a library card. ALL Texas residents can get a FREE library card!
Story Times
We have multiple different storytime programs for children during summer and during the school year. You can find the dates for all of our programs on our website, our Facebook page, and we have printed calendars available at the library.
School Age Children
We will have special guests this summer to present programs geared at school age children (grade K-5). We also have our STEAM Club that occurs year- round and encourages critical thinking and socialization.
TEENS
We will have special Saturday programs for teens this year. We have a few different programs planned this summer and can’t wait for you to join us. If you can’t make it to a Saturday program, we also encourage you to volunteer with us! We need your help to make our library a special second home for teens.
Volunteers!
We encourage teens (13+) and adults to apply to be a volunteer this summer! We are always looking for volunteers to help with our story hours, organizing the children’s room, and helping with the end of summer party. Come pick up a volunteer form today! (The librarian must approve all volunteers.)
FREE Punch and Lemonade
Every Friday 11am-6pm – the library will offer free punch and lemonade in our community room (think cocoa day but for summer!). We will set out toys, coloring pages, and a sticker poster. Come spend some time indoors with friends, you are welcome to bring your own snacks also!
